This would be believable if more senators voted for it and were quite clear why they were doing it instead of a few with suspicious PACs.

Sadly, the most prevalent donors to food banks are those that are now part of the need being greater than ever. When you are a couple of bad months away from desperation, you feel more for those who are there.

There are a lot of "Alpha Males" that were brought up on unrealistic life expectations. They were tipping towards "maybe it's me. I should examine my life" when these guys came along and gave them someone to blame and no reason to change.

The last one was a pretty good read. The anecdote of the guy who was kicked out of Metallica and formed Megadeth but was still not happy even though he was successful beyond anyone else's metric because Metallica was still bigger, was a pretty good analogy of how you view success.
