Indeed. They are open and shameless, but open does not mean honest.
Shameless does not mean authentic.

Elections have consequences. As it turns out, those consequences can be completely disconnected from the people elected and entirely about the jersey of the people who won.
I hate our moment, but this is a nice moment inside of it.

I'm excited about players learning a little something about thematic-mechanical resonance. I want a player to realize, "Oh this is about nukes."
I have no reason to think the game is designed for that - I know almost nothing about it - but it can.

Some people who made the rightward shift will just tell you - and the New York Times - that it wasn't censoriousness as such but the feeling of being talked down to that made the difference.
I'll readily admit that self-satisfaction is more popular than liberalism.

The Mag 7 to "Big Tech" difference is intriguing. What's in a name? Do people just really hate Facebook and Tesla?

We did an official 5e adventure for our first time out. I cannot describe how much faster it was in Dragon Slayers, and I genuinely don't think anything was lost. Only 1 creature I needed to manually translate; most of the mons were already available in Slayers format.

I'm staying on message this Thanksgiving: Yes, but for civilian access to a firearm, this definitely would not have happened.
If there's any lip, moving on to stage 2: An international false flag operation to take away 2nd Amendment rights, going all the way back to Bush.

John signing the Magna Carta: "But only for, like, manslaughter and up, right?"
The People: "Of course, don't be silly."

Thinking of them as a paid hostage is helpful. Much like in European monarchy, the problem is that we think being a paid hostage grants expertise in leadership.

Seconded. In a hierarchy, you blame "shareholders" or "the board."

And then you hear that his crime is literally saying "Don't break the law."

Like the old saying goes, you can't build renewables without a little frakking.

I worry because, as an outsider, it is shaped like something the exec wins in current SC makeup - "The Constitution doesn't allow for anyone appointing other than us, so an alt. process is less valid than ours." But maybe even if that's true, the prize they win is the original clown show indictment?
November 25, 2025 at 2:35 PM
So the gov could send a literal clown to the grand jury. He doesn't know the law but the jury assumes he must because he has a suit and everything.
The defendent can claim "You can't have a clown here" or beat the clown at trial. But if they do the first, the gov just pretends it never happened?

Big Bang Mini!

I think pretty much any of these games could have new if altered life on mobile, but it really would take a lot of work to translate the dual screens.

Back when there was a chance Trump would be charged with fighting to hold onto classified docs, there was a decent chance he was going to argue he internally decided they were declassified when still in office. A lot of the admin runs on "I declare [monarchy]!"

It's a shame social media seems to be the extent of that person's reach, but I'm glad it's there at least.

Do you think the gov is likely to challenge the ruling of improper appointment?
November 24, 2025 at 6:01 PM
I am not a lawyer but we are talking about the same government that went straight to SCOTUS to assert their right to not feed their citizens and were granted that right for several days. So.

It is not surprising but it does annoy me.
Are we about to have a Rocket Docket claim that she was Actually validly appointed followed by a merits case next April followed by a decision in June followed by us being back to trying to decide how badly she screwed up the grand jury indictment handling?
