At least he made a prediction of kinds. Something he can be called up on. So far afaik there were zero KPIs to evaluate the outcome of the decision.

If she goes to jail remains to be seen, but surely won’t run for office in the coming round. How this leaves the French political scenario I am not sure, her second is very young and Macron cannot run again.
