like sure, the dialup sound is nostalgic because we no longer use dialup modems
so therefore the speaker interference is also nostalgic because we don't use.....well, hold on yes we do. We didn't stop keeping phones on computer desks, something else changed.

What's funny is I don't think any other boss requires you to scan it in order to target what you're supposed to, but it reinforces the importance of scanning anyway

I have a few more minutes to kill at work so I'm gonna highlight that when you fight the first boss in metroid prime your lock on targets its chest until you scan it. The scan tells you about the boss but also your lock on then targets its mouth instead which does more damage

further I think we need to stop giving silicon valley a free pass to use schools as a dumping ground (sorry, "test bed") for whatever new techno-snake oil they want everyone to adopt, chrome books are just one such thing

I think in the context of how to tutorialize metroid prime 4 specifically it's useful that there exist three functionally identical (for the sake of conversation) games that already exist, not sure why i haven't seen discussion acknowledge them.
