Wow.

Incredible new interactive tool showing major methane emissions from fossil-fuel extraction around the world over past 12 months.

Striking how intense the hotspots are from, say, COP29 hosts Azerbaijan.

And Russia, China, US and India.

A clash of aerosols: Saharan dust is replacing Canadian wildfire smoke in the forecast for the weekend.
Our #CopernicusAtmosphere aerosol optical depth forecast initialised on 11 June showed a complex mixture of aerosols over Europe in recent days with smoke transport from Canadian wildfires interspersed with a plume of Saharan dust.

We often hear folks skeptical of climate change claim that "the climate is always changing" or "temperatures rise before CO2" or "its the sun". In a new episode of PBS's Weathered, @leafwax.bsky.social and I try and address these questions: www.youtube.com/watc...
Did Climate Skeptics Get THIS Right?!
Is global warming just part of Earth’s natural cycle? In this episode of Weathered, we break down why that’s not the full story. From ice ages and Milankovitch cycles to the role of CO2 and fossil fuels, today’s climate change is unlike anything in Earth’s deep past. Learn why the speed of warming m
