While still pre-alpha, the #Fortran lib FPLT now supports 8 geographical #map projections, 2 input/5 output file formats, applying/modifying plot themes, colour maps, and map templates, auto-cropping, #FORD documentation, and #FPM building. Next: Heat maps!

There are few options for map making with #Fortran, so as an old #GMT fan, I started working on a lib for creating professional geographical #maps and other plots quickly by leveraging GMT's C API and Fortran derived types. #fpm #geoscience @fortranlang.bsky.social
