On Saturday, a group of folks trimmed out the "trunks" of English Ivy growing on trees next to a side path off the I-90 trail. Ivy can kill a tree if allowed to grow too much. The biggest tree had multiple "trunks" of woody entwined material to remove. #Seattle

Cancelled due to marathon!
The weather is looking great for this fix tomorrow! We'll fix this curve of the Burke-Gilman trail just east of Stone Way which is a recurring problem spot for overgrown blackberry bushes creating a choke point for all trail users

We completely agree
That is some admirable public dedication. But these paths should always be cleared by our transportation department.
Was great to get out today just before the rain started up and fix this multi-use path!

A thing I started doing some years ago with comrades in south Seattle was cleaning up sidewalks and bike lanes -- overgrown vegetation, piles of leaves, snow. I do it less often now due to health issues but I did some today and I'm exhausted. Pictures over here: social.ridetrans.it/@SeattleStre...
