This is a radical idea to some, but I don't believe you need to be familiar with a prequel to cover a sequel. The 'new fan' perspective is unique, valid, and reflective of other new fans. Of course, like anything, it can be done wrong.

I've been playing Grounded 2 for the last week, and I'm pleased to report it's not only fabulous, but my favourite game since Darkest Dungeon 2. It's also the first survival game that's truly hooked me (something I may write about soon). I look forward to its hopefully very long tail. #grounded2

I know my small Canadian city is a pretty great place to live because half our news is things like, "Remember to get a license for your ATV", "A traffic light on this street isn't working", and "Boy, there sure are a lot of dandelions this year, aren't there?"

Typical story of execs chasing trends and not understanding why a studio was successful in the first place. We've seen this with Battlefield and Redfall. EA leadership needs replacing, but that's nothing new.
