I always treated gambling as a specific activity done at specific times, and that was how it stayed.

Everybody everywhere gambling constantly is setting off all the personal alarms I put in place for myself. It’s like being in a parking lot and watching everybody’s car get broken into but mine.

The plot of badlands is literally that Dek’s toxic chad dad thinks that Dek is too beta to live. Dek goes on a quest to prove him wrong and instead meets people that value him for who he is, and learns that true respect comes from within.

I’m definitely an old codger who wants more practical FX. (That stomach mouth would have been a beauty of an animatronic), but it’s the world we live in.

I’m really liking it. I’ve heard some people take issue with some of the CG and some of the plot, but I’m definitely floating with it.
