The ones that are actually full-blown departments only got that way after decades of fighting, and even those often are not resourced at the level you’d expect of depts with their level of service instruction and scholarship. Yeesh

Also from a state (Michigan) that has been operating under an “affirmative action ban” for almost two decades … so our lawyers know that it’s perfectly legal to attend these events
