I made this lil illustration back in 2018. Was thinking of those old revolutionary war-Victorian political illustrations and put a spin on it. I didn’t expect to feel the same way now

I have been experiencing an excessiveness of blues. It’s part the world, part I’m tired of hearing the same stories of violence and abuse over and over, and I feel creatively stuck. I have lots of ideas and I question the validly of all of them.

I know, shush and do the work. It’s the only way

Me when I see AI "art."

That shit makes my skin crawl & makes me physically ill. 🤢

Also generative AI can fuck off because it ain't art & NEVER will be anything but a bad imitation created from theft!!!

When I was young I’d imagine what my world would be if I survived a nuclear war. Alone, spaces once homes shatters by sonic booms left abandoned. Old Chernobyl photos before people came to visit make me think of that. Abandoned rust belt cities too. There’s something about nature claiming the rot…

Meanwhile, I ordered from Wildfish Cannery I ate the smoked coho in birch syrup first. I see this paring well on a poppyseed cracker with brie, or in a salad with walnuts and fresh mozzarella. I’m just getting into tinned fish. Not making it my whole personality or anything… but it’s good stuff

I just want to report this cold is oppressing me on both a physical and spiritual level. I did not order this weather and therefore I am not taking responsibility for it this time. My only hope is that it kills whatever summer pestilence that might to bring its bullshit once the weather gets nice

Heard an interesting quote about how being an artist / following a creative path is less about following a passion than exploring your curiosity. I find that excessively relatable. Then it made me think about groups that dismiss curiosity, and how the lack of can be used for manipulation & control.

Today’s Rooster dispatch is about the data center blitz and how it’s stealing our energy and ripping us off on taxes all while delivering a paltry amount of permanent jobs.

Plus new intel on Rep. Denson, whom I have labeled an unserious chucklefuck.

The data center blitz won’t end well for Ohio
Statewide Republicans and local Democrats are letting powerful corporations suck us dry (and not in the good way, either).
