NEWS ANCHOR: we're getting word that two dozen ICE agents are in hospital after they started kissing a beautiful woman in a skimpy outfit with platinum blond hair only for her to tragically explode because she was actually a big stack of TNT.
DHS spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin on "acts of violence" against ICE agents in Minnesota: "Pouring water on the ground so that it would freeze the ground in front of our federal law enforcement vehicles so that they would potentially slide, crash, and potentially kill them"

Senate Democrats absolutely have to shut the govt down to stop this ICE insanity in the Twin Cities. This is not sustainable & cannot be normalized. Any Democratic vote to provide money to the thugs who are brutalizing this community is a grave betrayal to the people here. Accountability can't wait.

There are far more urgent things going on in the world right now, but I have to wonder how many collective years of human life have been wasted by websites calling a signup/login field a "username" when they exclusively accept email addresses.

The message from the White House this morning is that, once again, it falls on ordinary American citizens to remain calm and professional when dealing with the heavily armed agents of the government because they are very emotional and might fly off into a murderous rage at the slightest insult.

the shooter is literally on camera saying "fucking bitch" after shooting a woman who had just told him "I'm not mad at you" but sure, people who think this sucks need to tone down their rhetoric
Homan: "We gotta stop the hateful rhetoric. Saying this officer is a murderer is dangerous. It's just ridiculous. It's gonna infuriate people more which means there's gonna be more incidents like this."

Went to FedEx to ship a package. The guy at the counter looked at me, looked at my ID, and said "Tough week to be named Stephen Miller, bud."

Amen to that, bud.

A woman recording an ICE agent tells him "Shame on you."

The agent responds, "Have you all not learned from the past couple of days?"

"Learned what?" she asks

Then he knocks her phone out of her hand

I’m remarkably immune to despair, but sharing footage of Renee Nicole Good’s execution with conservatives in my life, only to have them parrot Trump’s *evidently false* description back at me, may have finally broken me. These are not trolls getting a rise out of an online lib. This is brainwashing.

Noem saying Ross acted "according to his training" is a blinking red light. Any investigative effort from those with subpoena power needs to press on ICE permitting early resort to lethal force. @lilahassan.bsky.social's reporting is crucial & acknowledges it may be out of date:

Can you please share this video of what actually happened as DHS is lying. There were no “rioters” only onlookers, ICE agents were in no danger and none were harmed. It was just murder. They are just here to fill deportation (trafficking) quotas and will kill when they think they can’t.

I lived at Bottom of the Hill in my 20s, in a 2nd floor apartment above the stage.

After 10+ years of catching acts like tMG there, moving in felt unreal. Free entry to shows, free drinks at the bar, late nights with the kindest staff and “landlords” imaginable. Cherished memories. RIP to a giant.
a loss to San Francisco and to me personally. we played there for years and years until there was really no way for us to play there. "too big" I guess but I will never be bigger in my mind than what the Bottom of the Hill is in my heart.

Twice a day, Threads will send me a push notification suggesting a post I might like. Without fail when I click on that notification, I will not be sent to that post, but instead to my stale home feed. It’s a clever anti-growth-hacking strategy, repeatedly baiting me into having a shitty experience.

As someone who did AI/ML research in the early 2010s, I often run into tech that seems impossible — shit that absolutely shouldn’t work but somehow does.

The one that takes the cake? Depth from a single image. It violates all intuitions; it’s absurd; it works shockingly well. Pure sorcery.
