Their lawns that have been trimmed, dosed with weed kill to get rid of any unwanted growth, planted with non-native ornamentals, or covered in gravel or concrete to keep down on maintenance.

At local zoning committee meetings, one common statement is "I don't want this change because I like seeing the property in it's current undeveloped state. I like seeing the trees and the bunnies". As if their view should trump the owners full use of the property. Their view from their lawns.

My '6 month cardiologist checkup' has been every 8 months the last two visits. First visit with a gastroenterologist, took 3 and a half months to get in. Too many people end up at ER because they can't get to their specialist to see about a worrisome symptom.
