Wanna know what my biggest pet peeve as a weather nerd is? When the media (very freuquently!) says "a polar vortex", as if its something that comes and goes. Its not a, its THE. The polar vortex is always there, it just ebbs and flows with the seasons and atmospheric pressure changes.
