(He/They)
Dark Devices is a slow-burn series, with drama and horror that builds to a crescendo by the end of the season, as the cast spirals out of control in the service of their eldritch patrons. Each season brings in a new cast, as new pawns to the same patrons in the same city, decades later. 7/7

Okay, here's my attempt at reining myself in as I build this Campaign frame. While I'll be making several new Classes for it, I'll be re-using or slightly re-imagining a few of the originals. But, most importantly, this plan does not involve the creation of any new Domains.

6. Picking a favorite is hard, but a recent one I liked: Rime Saltwyrd, Naga Runeblade, in a game of #TactiQuest by @level2janitor.bsky.social

A monster-hunter-in-training, whose big half-ogre mentor had gone off and joined the baddies – which resulted in one of my funnest boss fights I've played.

I love when a Kickstarter reward shows up well after I've forgotten about it.

My copies of Scion: Demigod and Scion: God arrived today - rounding out my collection of the 2nd edition of this TTRPG series

Now to find time to play them....

5. It's tough to pin down what ttrpg I've played most, because I jump around to a lot of different systems, even mid-campaign, sometimes. But it's probably The Riddle of Steel simply because, as my first, it was the only TTRPG I played for a solid four years.

4. I think a Kickstarter should count as buying directly from a creator, right?

In that case it's Spark, from @genesisoflegend.bsky.social.

A neat system, but what I've used more is the collaborative worldbuilding process included in the book.

3. Ninaran – a minor NPC from the D&D 4e module: The Keep on the Shadowfell.

There was nothing particularly special about her, but we somehow made her our nemesis, with her role escalating over several campaigns until she was at the center of a pantheon-breaking cataclysm five years later.

2. It's a tough choice, as I often prefer homebrew settings, but I'd probably put the Warhammer 40k universe as my favorite setting for TTRPGs — but only the rogue trader and inquisition parts of it.

1. My first TTRPG was purchased, I believe, from Dragon's Keep in Provo, UT.

My friend's dad drove an hour down there to pick up our copies of The Riddle of Steel, the day the store got them, then drove back up to deliver them to us at our Junior High School.

Been a while since I've done much work on BEHEMOTH #ttrpg – but I got back into it today with some more star system maps, for the next Subsector guide I plan to release.

Been working on a Mech-based #TTRPG, inspired by PS2 game "Ring of Red", and very happy with how it's coming along — but it's still very early in development.

The game is structured at four different scales - different levels of focus: Personal, Mech, Tactical, and Campaign/Logistics Scale

My notes from 8 years ago for a fitd kpop monster hunter game (having not yet seen kpop demon hunters, I have no idea if the premise is actually as similar to that idea as it sounds)

Involved Actions that were two-sided — one version for monster hunting, one for kpop. That's as far as I got...

I cut my Totinos frozen pizzas into four strips, arrange them around the edge of a square plate, set a small bowl of water in the center, and microwave them for 6 minutes on 80% power.

Honestly one of my favorite meals.

And there we have it, our finished worldshard!
Between the five regions of this worldshard, there's enough to explore to keep your players going for several sessions of gameplay!

Eventually, though, you'll want to move on – riding rickety magitech gondalas over the void to a whole new Worldshard!

Step 5: Roll Worldshard Regions
Okay, step 5 makes up the rest of the process, as we roll multiple times to determine (a) the environments, (b) unique features of those environments, and (c) point of interests for each region. For efficiency, we'll roll all three for a single region all at once.
