February 15 2000, Disney's Tarzan debuted on the N64 in the Americas!

While the Nintendo 64 version lacked the movie stills and short level intro clips of the PS1, you could purchase it in an exclusive "big box" with figures included, which are now highly sought after by the N64 community!

tired of remakes/remasters/ports that destroy the music
don't fucking touch the music
you cannot re release the game without its original music?
don't re release it at all then
this isn't just about Rayman
it happens all the fucking time

This was surprising to see, but it seems that the devs used my code from a Rayman 1 project on GitHub as a reference 😛

Left screenshot is from the collection and right is my code. I named these Rayman power flags myself (so the names are unofficial), and they used literally the exact same names.

Apparently the player count for the 30th anniversary edition is absolutely terrible 😕 The Steam peak was at around 300 and barely anyone has the PS5 trophies (a single user has the platinum). In fact, Rayman Legends literally has more active players on Steam right now.

Even more tiling shenanigans, but now in black and white!

The game was completely in B&W at one point and while that has changed, I'm still designing all the graphics with B&W in mind, both for accessibility for color blind folks and because it's cool af

But why did prev. re-releases use the full music? Well because those are direct ports. This is a new release, with a new name and new marketing. In terms of licensing this is a new game, not a port of an existing one.

Can Ubisoft get the license for the old music? Probably, but we don't know.

I have so much I could say, but I'll keep it brief for now:

Digitial Eclipse did an amazing job. The documentary especially is absolutely amazing and heartwarming. I also believe they will update the game to fix the bugs.

The new music isn't great, but it falls on Ubisoft, so don't blame the devs.

About the Rayman 30th anniversary new PS1 music
I noticed that the remixed tracks are the Remi ones, while the ones from other composers got replaced
Am I insane or am I into something??
Here's the readme from Raytunes, which lists who composed each track (confirmed cases that is)

A message from Christophe Heral about the newly recorded music for Rayman: 30th Anniversary Edition.

Such a sweet message, he clearly cares about this project a hell of a lot. So excited to hear the tracks properly.
