If I don't know you I'm probably going to block you. I like liberal politics, board games, D&D, scooters, ska, St. Louis City, and delicious food. I'm mainly here to follow friends I already know. I have no time for bigots of any stripe.
I have the coolest parents.

Share 4 of your favorite books.

Three are "favorites right now based on my mood and memory" and are likely to change if asked again.

Catch 22 - Joseph Heller. My absolute favorite.
Going Postal - Terry Pratchett
To Say Nothing of the Dog - Connie Willis
Mother Night - Kurt Vonnegut, Jr

She was buried with full military honors, and she petitioned Congress to get a military pension in her own name. I'm pretty sure she was proud of her service. I will respectfully continue to post variations of this theme because who we choose to honor shapes what kind of nation we build

That's my Dad (standing) in 1964 pretending to work the pretend reactor panel on the USS Enterprise. They didn't want a picture leaked of the actual control panel, so his group posed in front of an electrician's panel.

When I showed it to my Mother she got a dreamy smile. I think she likes him.

Doesn't everyone have googly-eyes on their blood-oxygen meter?

Fun fact (if I am remembering it right): In the Million Man March of 1995, police made the decision to wear regular uniforms instead of helmets and body armor for crowd control. They felt heavily armed cops would be seen as "antagonistic" and might create problems instead of preventing them

The power of suggestion made the first Dracula-adjacent name pop into my mind: 1972's Blacula. Sorry/not sorry.

This is wild. My friend over at @blackoakworkshop.bsky.social went old-school on this one. It reminds me of my first dice from the Basic set in the red box in the late 70s. Only I bet these are better quality
