I am an Enlightenmentarian, not a lover of authoritarians. My loyalty is with the ideals of science, reason, virtue, humanism, compassion and progress. I am not loyal to a person or political ideology or any particular tribe.

Because if it doesn’t exist anywhere else, how lonely is that for life on our planet? And how sad, too, that one species (us) is pissing it all away and ruining the planet for the rest of terran life?

And that said, how questions are asked is important. Do aliens exist? Like little green/gray things? No. But do I think life exists elsewhere in the universe? I hope so. It might just be a microbe, but that would still be amazing.

That’s a rhetorical question. It’s not a violation. It only feels like a violation if you’re a fascist.
