On Monday, scientists from @scientifiquesenrebellion.fr were on trial in Munich for a peaceful protest in 2022. Lauranne was acquitted, while Manua, Marceau, Hugo, Jerome & Sylvain were sentenced to hefty fines.
The people and companies responsible for the ongoing ecocide continue to escape justice.

How much carbon budget do we have left if we want to stay below 1.5˚C?

Just 2 more years at current rates. It is essentially impossible to avoid global temperature rise exceeding 1.5˚C.

Much was discussed at the Scientists Responsibility Summit, but one thing became clear: We cannot let traditional notions of "academic neutrality" prevent us from fighting for truth and justice.
