Throw into that “school vouchers” to include homeschool programs and private schools…NONE of which are legally required to meet the needs of neurodivergent children.
They can also expel children, often at will regardless of diagnosis.
Parents don’t know this either.

The problem is that parents are often not prepared and not qualified to meet every educational need of their children.
Public school can be rough. It was for me…BUT I learned how to survive and take care of myself.
I also leaned on experts to help me be successful.
Even that took a decade…
