Browsing Facebook & I briefly thought that Macy’s was selling needle injectors. The real needle injector is the photo on the right.

I don’t think I could watch High Tension again.
Never mind movies you’ve watched multiple times, name a movie you’ve watched once and would never watch again.

Good news! I haven’t solved America’s crumbling democracy but I did buy an electric kettle today, which surely puts me on the path to civilization.

Here I am, proud as Greek god, and yet standing debtor to this blockhead for a bone to stand on!

It’s so funny to me how my writing skeets seem to take off. I barely consider myself a professional, despite having a book published. I’m just a bobo that got lucky.

My mascara is pretty smudged today but my eyelids are so hooded that no one will notice.

I was talking about this with my bestie so now I’m putting this out here: is no one really going to say anything about how creepy Ariana Grande & Cynthia Erivo are together? We’re all just going to watch their weird folie a deux & eating disorders & just not say anything?

I write without editing as I go. I think it’s most important to just get the words out. The amount of editing that I’ll have to do always makes me nervous.

we all got cowed into avoiding "virtue signaling" as if the public affirmation of socially agreed upon ethical principles was somehow cringey instead of a significant part of what a "society" even is. now all there's left is vice signaling, and it's reshaping society.

My favorite untraditional Christmas songs are Fairytale of New York by The Pogues & Christmade Wrapping by The Waitresses.
My favorite traditional Christmas carol is O, Holy Night.

I’m going to be honest, my mental state isn’t great right now. My psychiatrist has upped my meds & I have an assessment with an intensive outpatient program on Monday. I should be so happy right now. My book is out, something I’ve dreamed of since I was little, & I’m doing amazing at work.

I’ve been up since 1 am with overnight death calls & my train home was packed. I was going to blow a gasket when this woman got on this unbelievably packed train with a chair. If you have chair money then you have Lyft money.

FYI for people who don't want to use Amazon, here it is on bookshop. It's on backorder too...but eventually it won't be and then they'd be supporting you AND indie/local bookstores.

All super rich guys sound the same now. It’s all “I sleep four hours a night and spend the other twenty hours a day developing a product that’s going to bring us the best widespread poverty anyone’s ever seen.”

Thanks to tarlcabot25, I’m going to watch the broadcast diction of MST3K’s The Dead Talk Back. I love when an alarm blares and Mike and the bots are horrified.

I just checked, it’s still happening. Very funereal and harmonica heavy. Please play this for 2 hours when I die.

Write a memoir about how you became a funeral director, I thought. It’ll be easier this time, no research.
Here my list of things to research:
-Paleolithic burial culture
-animals that mourn
-ancient Egyptian funerary culture
-Interview my mom about my past
