Today, five years ago, after a long drive from Calais and the Eurotunnel, we arrived in our new home country,to our new home in Das Dorf. It was a challenging time, as Covid was still a thing, and we'd had to get tested and then quarantine too!

Home after a lovely afternoon at the Frankfurt Weihnachtsmarkt, and we only got rained on as we walked home from the S-Bahn station. The stalls and the different areas never fail to make us "ooh" and "aah", and obviously, the whole ambience changes once it gets dark. Plenty of tourists there, too!

Self-care is very important, especially at this of year, and so I stocked up on this year's 'Flu vax and Covid booster. I suffer with chronic illnesses, so it's important for me to stay up-to-date with my vax regime, especially after my healthy younger brother spent last week in hospital with 'Flu A

It's my mum's 80th birthday, and unfortunately I can't be with her to celebrate, so I ordered some flowers from April Flowers in Greyfriars, Stafford, and they did NOT disappoint! My mum is over the moon, which was the goal.
