i'd like it if they'd focus on making them reliably search, sort, synthesize, and aggregate information based on a conversational interface, rather than on trying to replace creative workers

I think there are some really great applications for LLMs, and I also think the executives in charge of the companies researching and creating them are extremely bad at focusing on which those are

On top of closing a lot of the suicide hotlines. They took the wrong meaning of social Darwinism and want anyone they think is “weak” to die.
While their biggest fear is always, always that everyone else will notice they’re weak, or queer, or whatever they’re ranting against the most.
