I love giant magnets.

My opinions are trash and fully my own.

This random o-ring has been floating around the garage and now kitchen for months…but you can’t throw it away because what if it’s a CRITICAL O-RING

Oh I found it. Anyways this is an absurd amount of plants, many in sizes you cannot get anywhere (let alone 30 of them)

As much as I love making bread it’s One More Thing in a weekend of making many things. Ya girl is basic and loves brown and serve rolls, and Hyvee was prepared for that with this giant display right inside the door.

There is also the chair version of this stool, where the back of it is too narrow for most butts which makes you sit forward a bit and kind of slowly slide off it. Worst chair in the world.

TMW you put a 4500 lbs iron-core electromagnet in a freight elevator with a 5000 lbs rating #NMRchat #chemchat

I can’t find any good pics of the whole car but this shows the color well even if the car is obscured by 20” of snow. It was kind of a minty blue-green, I nicknamed her The Pea.

My former prof from South Dakota State came down today to retrieve a 600 console that I had retrieved from NMRFAM in Madison in 2021 for parts. I no longer need it but it will support their console. The Land Grant University Obsolete Spectrometer Junk Pipeline. #nmrchat #chemchat

Pulled this beautiful anthurium (dreamweaver x doriyaki) x luxurians out of the basement last week. It’s sooooo ruffly puffly good

Uh well, I don’t want to talk or think about THAT or THAT OTHER THING.

Have a plant. Have four plants.

(Anthurium clarinervium.)

Vintage! (I mean, they are at least 45 years old…)

Oh nice, the green swirl/log pattern planter is also McCoy Brush series, and I didn’t overpay for it 😅 bsky.app/profile/sara...

Here’s the other two pieces I got today: a blue Hull planter with a scalloped pattern and a dackel planter cc @jenlove.bsky.social - both about $18.

Quote post has the Frankoma pig that I found in Sioux Falls last year - so cute bsky.app/profile/sara...

I have my mom’s set of these in my kitchen and still use them, who knew they could fetch $14 😅
November 16, 2025 at 6:42 PM
And now for something completely different…you KNOW someone got this potentiometer for like $10 at the ISU surplus sale and they are asking $149. lol.

Here is a piece I was a little sad to walk away from but it was way too expensive. It seemed to be a hanging planter, you can see the holes in the rim for a string or chain. I loved the color and pattern but they wanted $85. I am not familiar with this line from McCoy, time to do some research 🧐

This Reynolds aluminum Christmas tree (color wheel included!!) was large and in great shape. They were asking $395, which actually isn’t horrific. I love these things - my dad had one growing up and then they would set it up at his bicycle shop at the holidays.

Loved this Frankoma bakeware/serveware.

It will come as no surprise that I’m often looking for vintage planters. A few I considered plus one I got. First two are McCoy (and overpriced IMO), can’t remember the red and green leaf planters but they were kind of neat, and then ended up buying this mossy green planter with a log pattern - $15

This was an interesting find. Frankoma was a pottery house based out of Oklahoma, and they made a lot of functional but funky pieces in matte, earthy glazes. This is the Bug-o-Ban bug zapper (not intact) - it used to have a coil of wire inside and a screen on top.
