Also notes from voluntary interviews are not technically grand jury materials and thus not subject to grand jury secrecy rules. DOJ can release its own “version” of the story. If they agree to an interview, it should be only if both sides can record it.

I figured she was getting a pardon as some point. And although I agree that the possible sentence isn’t long, in my experience once someone spends time in prison (even min security), they *really* don’t want to go back.

There is a charge for criminal contempt of Congress. 2 USC sec 192. It’s only a misdemeanor. But a witness who has been immunized does face criminal exposure if they refuse to testify.

The defense could move to dismiss the indictment. Normally it’s a long shot. Probably still a long shot here.

And there are lots of ways to get around a statute of limitations issue (conspiracy charges — a continuing offense). But agree completely on the state charges. All symbolic on that front.

Update. Easy recipe. I messed up the proofing directions so the air bubbles are weaker than they should be. Great flavor even without any toppings.

Love this website and its recipes. They are more flavorful/interesting than ATK though I loved ATK’s meticulous testing.
