Millennial, San Diegan, Congresswoman, policy wonk. Loves talking foreign policy, child care, and where to find the best taco in San Diego.
I always say that it will take all of us to build a democracy that works and we just took a big step forward thanks to millions of California voters.

THANK YOU for voting yes on Prop 50 so we can hold Donald Trump accountable and level the playing field. We won’t let you down.

It’s Election Day!

Your ballot should have arrived in the mail. If you still have it, get it turned in today!

Polls close at 8pm. Find the nearest polling place on the CA Secretary of State’s website: www.sos.ca.gov/elections/polling-place/

Texas, Missouri, North Carolina, and Ohio have all changed their maps to benefit Trump in the midterms. Now California MUST do the same to level the playing field.

That’s why it was so great to have @gavinnewsom.bsky.social in San Diego to motivate everyone to vote YES on Prop 50 by Nov. 4.

It’s day 22 of the Republican government shutdown. They have no real strategy to get us out of this, so they’re just lying instead. I call BS.

I voted! Have you?

All California voters should have received their Prop 50 ballot in the mail. If you haven’t, track your ballot here: california.ballottrax.net/voter/

You must turn in your ballot by Nov. 4 at the latest! But the earlier, the better.

Congresswoman LaMonica McIver is being prosecuted by the Trump Administration for doing her job and providing oversight of an ICE facility in her district. This is part of a pattern of political intimidation and retribution — but we won’t back down.

Today over 25,000 San Diegans — who love this country and want it to be better — peacefully took to the streets for the No Kings march. I’m so proud that I was one of them.
October 19, 2025 at 1:40 AM
Republicans are already calling tomorrow’s No Kings protests a “hate America” march. And Trump is looking for any excuse to invoke martial law or the Insurrection Act. We cannot give him one.

Stay peaceful, stay joyful, stay loud, and stay safe. See you out there!

We’re getting out the YES vote for Prop 50! It was so great to join San Diego County Democrats in Pacific Beach and Kearney Mesa and SD County’s Building Trades Unions – including IBEW Local 569, SMART Local 206, and SEIU Local 221 – in La Mesa. #yeson50

Listen people: calling your Representatives WORKS. It MATTERS.

Marjorie Taylor Greene (of all people) is on TV in support of extending the ACA tax credits to protect health care for millions of Americans because her constituents are calling her office sharing their stories.

Remember when they called us hysterical for warning about Project 2025?

“Go fuck yourself” – the actual White House response to Democrats fighting to lower your health care costs. Just wow.

Over the weekend, we hit the ground to get the word out in La Mesa and Kearny Mesa — on November 4th, we’re voting YES on CA Prop 50! This is the most tangible way we have to fight back against Trump’s authoritarian power grab and defend our democracy.

On Labor Day, we recognize all the workers who haven’t just fought for fair wages and safe conditions — they’ve stood on the frontlines against fascism and oppression. Unions have always been the biggest defenders of democracy. So proud to stand with them today and every day.

F*ck around and find out, Texas.

It was amazing to join with families and local labor leaders who are tired of systems that benefit the rich and powerful and leave everyone else out. Together, we will keep working to build a country that lifts everyone up and puts families first.

Like so many House Republicans, Darrell Issa hasn’t been showing up and listening to his constituents — so I did. So glad I got to spend the day with hundreds of fired up people in Escondido who are fighting for a better, stronger democracy.

It was so amazing to have so many San Diegans out today to support the LGBTQ+ community. Happy Pride! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Texas: we’re watching you.

There’s nowhere I’d rather spend 4th of July than San Diego!

The Senate just passed Trump’s budget that would kick millions off health care and food assistance. But it’s not over yet!

These House Republicans are VULNERABLE next election. We need to make sure they feel the heat and vote NO on this bill. Hit the phones and share this post.

Republican cuts to Medicaid will kick millions off their health care and put their lives at risk.

But this is NOT inevitable. And we will NOT just "get over it."

Call your senators RIGHT NOW and urge them to vote NO on this big, ugly budget bill.

It’s go time: the Senate is voting TODAY on the Republican budget to gut Medicaid and SNAP just to give tax breaks to their friends — aka billionaires and big corporations.

But it’s not too late! Watch this video, CALL THESE SENATORS, flood their DMs, make your voice heard.

This is what 60,000+ San Diegans taking to the streets looks like. I was proud to be one of them. No Kings!
