Novax hasn’t won a set since the third round and he’s in the semi-finals. It’s been that kind of tournament. Weird vibes all round.

No lies detected. People love to get in their feelings about rules. I’m one of them! Still fuming about the roof at Wimbledon in 2018
This AO did need some drama like this, let's be real. It isn't a slam until everyone is looking up rules.

This is the correct way to frame slam titles. By just adding the text “IN OPEN ERA”, you bypass the whole topic of Margaret Court’s irrelevant wins in Australia when most players didn’t even travel there.

That is a brave medical examiner. I hope they are safe.
A Cuban detainee’s death at an El Paso federal immigration detention center was ruled a homicide Wednesday, with the medical examiner finding he was suffocated while restrained, contradicting immigration officials’ claim that he died by suicide.

Even more horrendous than I thought. The family is here under asylum and he was used as bait. Imagine him knocking on the door thinking he could go into his house and be safe.
Minnesota: "School officials say the [5-year-old] child was used as bait. They say [ICE] agents made little Liam knock on the door to ask to be let in in order to see if anyone else was home."

Props to the AO for posting the interviews so quickly. Thoughts
* Iga isn’t looking at her draw? Is that a new thing?
* Carlos is not a good actor. He stumbled his way through the JCF questions in both English and Spanish
* Coco wants more one point slam. Loved her breakdown

This is a direct attack on mail-in voting as some states require postmark on or before Election Day. Either vote in person or drop off your mail-in ballot in person (what I do).
As of 12/24/25, USPS changed policy on when they postmark mail. Mail dropped off is no longer guaranteed a same-day postmark. Tax returns & other time-sensitive items are now stamped when they reach a regional processing center, which may be days later. Plan deadlines accordingly to avoid penalties.

The United States Postal Service (USPS) has adopted a final rule (FR Doc.

Yes 🙌🏽. Massive touch screens and no buttons/knobs is one of the main reasons I am holding onto my 12 year old car.

Amazingly, reaction times using screens while driving are worse than being drunk or high—no wonder 90 percent of drivers hate using touchscreens in cars. Finally the auto industry is coming to its senses.

Twitter accounts are based in Russia. BlueSky accounts are based in homes with, frankly, too many books, plants, obsolete cables, and pieces of rustic pottery, that could do with a bit of a tidying up, to be honest.

Devastating to see as a physician. So much death and suffering will be caused by this.
It's official: The CDC is no longer trustworthy.

Its website contradicts 40+ high-quality studies involving 5.6 MILLION people.

The reason? RFK Jr. is Health Secretary.

This is what happens when politics replaces science.

If you don’t remember a time before the ACA, ask someone who does, or just watch any old episode of ER because preexisting conditions and lifetime maximums reached in the NICU etc were common story lines. In short, it was the bleakest most cutthroat system imaginable any wealthy country ever had.
The moment when 30 million American's received healthcare (2010) The moment when insurance companies had to start covering preexisting conditions, young adults could stay on their family's policy and I could trust that the small print couldn't screw me if I needed serious medical assistance. 🇺🇸
