Pray for the church:

-that we would rise up to care for our neighbors in tangible ways

-that we would pray, speak, and act with more boldness and more love

Pray for governmental leaders and policy makers:

-open eyes and hearts to see and repent of cruelty and destruction

-courage for those who are in a position to speak up for the vulnerable

-that God would make a way where there seems to be no way, to bring healing and wholeness

Pray for health care providers, public health officials, researchers, federal workers, and others who work for healing:

-provide hope and material needs for those whose jobs were recently terminated

-give strength and courage to those who are carrying on with their work

-prevent outbreaks of diseases like avian flu, measles, and others

-restore life-saving research on cancer and other diseases increase access to food and nutrition here and around the world

Ask that God will protect us, as a society, from illness and disease:
-protect and expand health care coverage, including Medicaid and Medicare
-allow the sharing of factual public health information
-protect access to preventative vaccines and medications

-protect access to medications and health care providers

-protect and restore rights, access, services, and dignity for the disabled

-provide for those who are being harmed around the world by USAID’s abrupt defunding

Ask that God would help us as a society to heal and provide for those who are currently sick, disabled, aging, or mentally ill:

-protect health insurance, Social Security, and other needed benefits

Begin by praising God, the Creator and Sustainer of each cell of our bodies, the Great Physician who sees and cares for each one of us.

Sold a house, bought a house, moved all of our possessions and ourselves from one house to the other (3,000 miles away), started teaching full-time for the first time in almost 20 years. Did a bunch of speaking about my book including at a conference in Rwanda.
