Here I react to the shameful encounter between American leaders and media and the Ukrainian president. No doubt there were more, but I saw five failures on our side: of hospitality, decency, democracy, strategy, and independence. Please watch and share.

We (meaning Americans) all need to take some lessons from Ukrainians and Syrians.

Even against seemingly unsurmountable odds, they stood firm and did not quit.

They knew that living under a tyrant was not the life they wanted for themselves or for future generations, so they kept fighting.

@repadamschlff.bsky.social Congratulations on your new position as U.S Senator! Thank you for voting for HR 82 in the House. The bill is now in the Senate. Please ask Senator Schumer to bring #SocialSecurityFairnessAct to the floor and let him know he can count on your vote. #GPOWEPMustGo_Now

@schumer.senate.gov
When are you bringing the Social Security Fairness Act to the floor? This week? I need a heads up so I can plan a celebratory party with my retired teacher colleagues. Thank you for righting a wrong done to teachers, firefighters, police officers, nurses and more by the Reagan administration.

Update: #SocialSecurityFairnessAct

"Public sector workers from across the nation plan to rally at the Capitol on Dec. 11."

"A spokesperson for Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) responded ... the Act is 'a high priority to get done this year.'"

Call Schumer: 202-224-3121!

Public servants like teachers and first responders are being penalized by the current laws (WEP and GPO). The Social Security Fairness Act would restore earned benefits to public servants. Senate needs to act before Dec 31!
Bring the Social Security Fairness Act before the U.S. Senate for a vote!
We have been lawfully robbed of our earned Social Security benefits for decades.

WOW! And so it begins:

Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski normalizing Trump after meeting w/him at Mar-a-Lago. This is how we got President Trump the first time. They learned nothing.

I’m posting the entire segment as a 🧵 so folks can decide for themselves.

Are you telling me Donald Trump, the man who said he was going to do all these crazy things, is actually going to do all these crazy things?

So, it’s time to talk about the mainstream media. You can safely reclassify major news outlets as “entertainment” and take everything they say with a grain (or more) of salt. 1/

Vaccines save lives no matter what RFK Jr says. I trust medical experts, not quack politicians who promote pseudoscience. Putting him in charge of HHS is going to cost lives. This is a nightmare.
