i know it's like, a thing that every generation thinks the generation after them is fucked but i genuinely think the current generation of preteens/teens/young 20 somethings might be fucked.

my nieces basically play nothing but roblox and watch fucking... horrible roblox roleplays by scummy youtubers that are completely incomprehensible nonsense paced at breakneck speed. it's actual mush. I've sat and tried to watch it, there's nothing there.

You look at a lot of the Eastern European and SEA territories where piracy was rampant for decades, and they now have vibrant dev scenes and plenty of legitimate marketplaces. I can’t think of Roblox helping create any dev environment besides an acceptance of low-pay crunch
