Only gets tepid enjoyment when a plan comes together

One of my favorite parts of this is that none of the other performers got to rehearse the solo with Prince. So when you see their faces, that's them hearing it for the first time along with the audience. (Dhani Harrison's reaction is especially delightful)

Or at least mostly agreeing? I think he was underrated for a long time in rock-oriented guitar communities (magazine best-of lists, forums, etc.). It feels like that started to shift in recent years, and I suspect the internet, and this performance in particular, contributed to that

I think some of it is that for sure. And some is that a lot of "guitar greats" discourse is very white-guy-rock oriented (plus Hendrix and BB King)
