Portland has a good city bus system with bike racks on buses, paved bike paths and bike lanes, dedicated city streets that do not share auto traffic, Amtrak from California to Canada and all points east to Chicago, and metro area surface commuter trains that are wheelchair friendly.

That doesn't happen here - another good reason to move here! - but I've lived in Phoenix and L.A. and people always stop and lean out of their cars when you're out walking and ask if you need help. #FreelanceFriends

Just to ease your mind, typically a big health cost in December can be rolled into the new year's deductible. Depends on the plan, but insurance billing is like a 6-week process, so your plan administrator can help you adjust that into whichever year is most beneficial, if needed. #FreelanceFriends

The vet said the commercial foods (good quality) have a balanced vitamin profile and essential nutrients for eyes and bones, so you'd want to be sure you took that into consideration. A lack of specific vitamins can apparently be deadly. #FreelanceFriends

I buy a lot of yellow folders for every day, to perk me up. Red is for the kids' college financial aid. I may have unconsciously told myself to "Stop!" with that color, but at least I can find it when Thing 1 and Thing 2 call at the last minute needing info. #FreelanceFriends
