Commissioner of the Cook County Board of Review, District 2.
Notice a hike in your assessment? A majority of District 2 townships were reassessed this tax year—reassessments that can lead to increased property values and increased property tax bills.

Don't wait until receiving a higher tax bill. Make sure to file an appeal for free through the BOR.

Promoting fair access to housing is one way we can uplift these groups. District 2's outreach efforts contributed to over half a million parcel appeals last year, including many filed by LGBTQ+ individuals who were navigating the system for the first time.

The Board of Review is an agency that is in place so that property owners have the ability to challenge their property taxes through appeal. We understand that it can be difficult to make it to Chicago’s Loop for face-to-face assistance, which is why we bring year-round outreaches to you!

Each of these objectives is imperative to D2’s mission of making housing increasingly equitable across Cook County. The Cook County Board of Review serves as the peoples’ representation when it comes to property taxation, and we are here for you when it comes to appealing your taxes and other needs.
