My biggest complaint about the original Star Wars trilogy is that they made Yoda an ugly little goblin thing. Not my idea of a Jedi master AT ALL. They should do a new special edition where he’s tall and conventionally handsome.

I see it. I have lived it. 83 years ago, the U.S. government turned upon a group of its own citizens and residents and sent them to internment camps without due process. I was there among them. American fascism is back. It is here. It is now.

If Hamas had killed 7 Israelis inside of Israel this week, it would be one of the biggest stories in the world, & all over the US media.

Thoughts on boycotts: inflict pain on the corporation. Buying a couple 99 cent ebooks from a self-published author on Amazon is fine. Don’t buy a microwave on it. Purity is never the answer. Restraint though and thoughtfulness is.

You know something? For my money, Rachel Reeves has had so many more public fuck-ups and gaffes than Diane Abbot ever did. Yet Reeves doesn't get anywhere near the same level of flak from the commentariat.

There's been so much publicity about the now-Oscar-winning doc No Other Land being unable to find a U.S. distributor (which is appalling) that some people may not realize it's currently on 100 screens here. In Manhattan you can see it at Film Forum; in Brooklyn it's at Alamo Drafthouse.
