yes, I think it is probably an auto-tweet about the most-viewed story on their website today from US IP addresses. But this chummy familiarity "hello Asia" is jarring, and should be reconsidered.
November 27, 2025 at 12:24 AM
also kind of patronising given that Asia spans at least 10 timezones

yes they're weird, but they have also been lionised and promoted by a weird segment of the media community, half of which they are sleeping with and two-thirds of which hate their guts. (Not yet sure what the deal is with the other third)

bit crass considering the fire in Hong Kong with 44 dead, 279 missing, and other consequential stories around the world.

EVs are better than petrol/diesel. But still come with costs to the local & global environment. Govt needs sustainable revenue stream. As long as EVs are still cheaper than new petrol/diesel it will work.
November 26, 2025 at 11:25 PM
Thing is, the Government needs to raise revenue. Takes a lot of money to maintain, let alone build, the road network. Car tax no longer scratches the surface. And cars are heavier these days, wearing down city roads & pavements faster. Fuel duty frozen for far too long, and revenue dwindling.

Eight 31-storey towers, circa 2,000 flats, housing about 4,800 people when full.

that would be madness. Gerrard will slot in at rightback to liberate Szoboszlai

Cole Palmer is grounded because he stubbed his toe and said one of the bad swears

don't take my word for it

a problem with this strategy is that borrowing costs will rise if bond markets suspect that the revenue-raising measures of 2028 onwards will never be implemented

Better late than never

it's the Mr Micawber strategy: "something will turn up"

Lifting 450,000 out of poverty for £3 billion p.a. looks amazingly good value in comparison to some numbers in the budget. For example, alcohol and tobacco duties raise £20 billion p.a.

great minds think alike, and fools rarely differ

But now that Mel Stride is threatening a criminal prosecution, I want to make it clear it was Dmitry and Marie who are responsible.
November 26, 2025 at 12:40 PM
that's weird. Just got an email from the head of HR wanting to discuss my future. Sure it's nothing though
