Clara would eat pea gravel when she was little. We had to watch her like a hawk every time she went out lol. Now she only really eats grass sometimes, but if there were treats involved all bets would be off. Every last speck would have to be consumed.

There's probably something that can do it for you! Just a little counter that ticks over the days until you reset it, where you can set the timer to X days since our last incident of bird administered violence? Surely that exists?
I think pinning the skeets is probably simpler though lol.

It was even actual proper sharing, not just him opening his mouth and letting treats fall out which is how they usually share - he tastes, she eats.

Thank you! We never used to celebrate the dogs birthdays, but both of them have turned 10 this year and we have leaned in to opportunities to spoil them.

And if he gets any attention, she either barges in, or will find someone else to get pets from so he comes over, and then she runs to the first person who was petting him.

If he has something she wants, she plays with another toy in his face making it look really good until he drops his thing. She does the same with attention from people. She got fussed outside the shop today and kept checking that I was watching and then came to 'tell' me so I'd be... jealous?

Luckily, Dex is fairly dominant in any disagreement between the two so he can stand his ground if she outright tries to take stuff from him, but Clara manipulates him like crazy. She sends him places as a guinea pig by pretending that's where she's going.

It's lovely when they're thick as two short planks, isn't it? For us it goes well because Miss Clarabelle is ridiculously clever and I couldn't cope with being constantly outsmarted by two dogs! She gets him to team up now without 🥔 knowing. It would be very bad if they could hatch plans together.
