If you come across me, I'll probably be talking about old video games or bad memes.
I can think of a few more relevant reasons that this series isn't as popular as it was 20 years ago.
In @nytopinion.nytimes.com

Younger generations “have fallen out of love with Harry Potter because they have fallen out of love with the worldview the series represents,” writes Louise Perry. “Which is to say that young people have fallen out of love with liberalism.”
Opinion | Why Gen Z Doesn’t Love ‘Harry Potter’
The wizarding worldview is naïve.

It may be a bit early to say, but The Last Chieftans looks like the best AoE2 expansion since Dynasties of India.

Game devs around the world probably went out of their way to avoid a Spring 2026 release date, only for GTA6 to get delayed again.

Me: "I'm going to re-read a mystery story that I haven't picked up for some years now."

Me for the next few Hours: "WHY ARE YOU NINCOMPOOPS NOT INVESTIGATING THE CANDLES?!?!?"

Me Finishing the Book: "I had a good time."

Does anyone know a good resource for the religious affiliations of American historical figures? I'm fiddling with a project for the American Founding Fathers, and am having trouble with half of their religious backgrounds.

My big project: The Death Generator.
It's a tool for making fake video game screenshots, just fill in new text and it'll give you a (generally) pixel-accurate image back, the correct fonts and everything.

"Most X people aren't like that but still suffer!"

"LOL, look at all these triggered/fragile people!"

Watching Invincible for the first time. It's not a bad show, but it somehow feels like it's an elaborate Neo-Confederate plot to smear Abraham Lincoln.

For fun, I thought I'd look into the religious denominations of the American Founding Fathers.

So far I have 147 names to look up.

I suspect these guys will have a variety of religious views.

Some of the praise for Clair Obscur has me thinking that some people think the entire JRPG genre is a mishmash of Persona and anime cliches.

I'm sorry Forgotten Empires, but I really didn't want Three Kingdoms content in my medieval Age of Empires game.

The Romans were acceptable as a small bonus that focused on the timeframe already occupied by the Goths and Huns. This is different.

New Nintendo hardware that's a direct successor to their biggest success ever? Has a notably high price tag that outrages fans? Launching with Street Fighter? With a retro series revived by Masahiro Sakurai shown at its debut?

Close enough, Welcome Back Nintendo 3DS.

Shadow Labyrinth makes sense when you remember Pac-Man is a game about being chased by monsters in a dark labyrinth while consuming all you can.

"Metroidvania" is such a weird name for a genre. Symphony of the Night came out a decade after the original Metroid and sold significantly less, so it'd be like if we called FPS's "Doom-Lifes" or platformers "Mario Bandicoots."

With arguments about what is and isn't a Christmas movie being an annual tradition, somebody should make a ranking system for how "Christmas-y" a movie is.
