He planned to conduct this study among female undergraduate students.

Remember the incident where DHS claimed officers shot a guy because he attacked them with a snow shovel?

Yeah. It didn't happen. They shot him through the door of his own home. And then arrested him. And then lied about it. Again.

And they almost shot some kids in the process.
They just blindly shot through the fucking door.

"Additional photographs show damage consistent with a bullet fragment lodged in a bedroom wall down the hallway — suggesting it traveled between a mattress and a portable crib in a room where several small children sleep."
"Photographic evidence from the shooting scene of a Venezuelan man by federal agents last month in Minneapolis supports the account of witnesses there – and appears to undercut the narrative provided by federal officials." www.startribune.com/ice-raids-mi...

Rep. Stephanie Mickelsen is a potato farmer, and her support of immigrant workers put her at odds with Republican leadership.

As Trump moved the party even further right, the fight got personal. ICE raided her farm.

The Trump administration’s policies are disrupting and dividing communities. We visit three of them.
From farm country to cities and even Native American reservations, communities are being shaped (and divided) by Trump administration policies.

If Congress doesn’t act, the last nuclear arms control treaty between the U.S. and Russia will expire. It would pointlessly wipe out decades of diplomacy, and could spark another arms race that makes the world less safe. This piece is worth the read.

So let's talk about exactly what that legal way entails: 1/

The same people who spent yesterday, and the past five years, insisting a Black police officer who shot an insurrectionist breaking into the Capitol should be prosecuted are today bending over backwards to defend an ICE agent who shot a woman in her car in cold blood.

Scum.

On Jan. 6th 2021, if you told anyone Trump would not only evade accountability, but 5 years later he’d be president again, pardon all the rioters—hire some as secret police—tank the economy while enriching himself, and invade other countries to avoid releasing the Epstein Files, you’d be committed.

New, from me: Trump’s justification for invading American cities and other countries is to reduce the crime he is actively encouraging through his pardons.
It’s emblematic of how corrupt the pardon process has become under Trump.
Deep dive 🧵 to follow.

Jeffrey Epstein was running a child sex ring in Florida. Yet for some reason when Pam Bondi served as Florida's Attorney General from 2011 to 2019 she never charged him. She did prosecute others for being sexual predators but not Epstein. My new article deanobeidallah.substack.com/p/we-need-to...
We need to know why Pam Bondi did not investigate Jeffrey Epstein when she was Florida’s AG from 2011 to 2019?!
Was Bondi protecting Trump?!

I spent October traveling to schools throughout the South talking to students about American history. What I found were young people who understand we can tell a story that includes both the positive and the negative. As one 8th grader in Memphis said, “Doesn’t seem that hard, just say both things.”

The use of terror is not a byproduct of Trumpian politics: it is central to how he governs.
