At the Lagoon, the canteen at Great Ormond St Hospital. The boy has just had his final meal here. Trying to let the memories just wash over me & go.. I am so proud he has outgrown this place. Age 5, a heart transplant prognosis was 10 years prolonged life. Well, he’s 17 now.

I have ready to sell, lemon curd, strawberry & raspberry jam, picalilli, mango chutney, sweet chilli jam, cranberry preserve, green tomato chutney, blackberry jelly, crabapple & rosehip jelly.
They’re all home made & mostly hand picked fruit & veg. Sugar & salt & vinegar the only preservatives.

I’m at the train station waiting to pick up my eldest his GF. He’s 26 at New Year. It’s astonishing.
