This is wrong. I am profoundly disappointed in the lack of transparency by the administration. One of my relatives, a U.S. citizen, was wrongly detained by ICE. He is OK, but the unlawful actions of ICE are not. Our city should not enable wrongful actors.

Mayor John Whitmire acknowledges Houston is cooperating with ICE
"I'm not going to say that we're not cooperating with ICE, because that's frankly not true," Whitmire said.

This is a big one! As Chairman of the Texas House Democrats, @genefortexas.bsky.social led the fight against Trump and Greg Abbott’s racist gerrymandered Congressional maps and authored many pieces of legislation to strengthen Texas families. I look forward to the work we can accomplish together

I didn’t realize until I took my kiddo trick or treating that one of my neighbors is running for city council in Houston.

I knew @salinasforhtx.bsky.social was good people, but I didn’t realize she lived so close.

She’s going for an at-large seat, so everyone in town can vote for her. Please do!
