Yoooo. If you didn't follow me from the bad place: I share and like more than I post, and mostly disability & activism content with a sprinkle of games & music ✨
If I lose my healthcare I'll die. I've struggled for a long time to keep going, despite knowing my future will be full of pain and struggle with no cure or treatment in sight. Without healthcare the tiny bit of tolerance I have for my pain will crumble. I don't think I'll survive it. I'm not okay.

You’re all about to be gaslit about that Nazi salute and I’m begging you to spend no time on it. You know what you saw.

Disability and COVID conscious bsky:

When Paxlovid & Prednisone haven't worked for COVID what's next? What other meds are available? Any bloodwork that could help, or other tests? My doctor is not great about COVID so any info that could help me advocate for myself would be much appreciated 🩶

For some reason Paxlovid is making me feel like I took an opioid, which I don't react well to. I feel drugged and I have really bad restlessness all over. Is this the "generally unwell" side effect they're talking about? 😭

Disability bsky: I finally got COVID after all this time and the pain is worse than I could have imagined. Did anyone with chronic muscle and nerve pain find things to help with this? Ibuprofen doesn't touch it, heat helps but I have a fever so it's miserable. Is it worth trying to get Paxlovid?

Maybe the folks who are wringing their hands about people not responding properly to the United Health Care CEO's murder should wring their hands for Carrie Ann Lucas, whose premature death UHC was responsible for in 2019.

One of the big problems with ableism is that we still live in a world that largely believes disabled people should be segregated from the rest of society.

That checks, was definitely a BMTH year. Glad Chappell & Josiah and the Bonnevilles made it. 5 is redacted because I no longer support them and stopped listening early in the year.

I miss the NEISvoid tag. It was the only reason I got any followers on the other app. I have no community IRL because there aren't disability friendly groups or resources where I am, and this distant parasocial disability community feels like all I have most days.

I know some of the people who think "Elonia" is hilarious are following me. So rather than unfollowing me and declaring me a scold, maybe just think for one minute about what you're accomplishing. And then knock it off.

If you are, in 2024, consuming Harry Potter stuff of any kind. The books. The movies. The video games. The fucking theme park. You are willingly putting on a sign saying "I care about my wizard book nostalgia more than I care about actual people's lives and well-being". Full stop. No excuses.

Disability fam, I could use some help! If you have hemiplegic migraines: Do you ever have sudden eye swelling even without other symptoms? I can't find anything on hemiplegic migraines and swelling, only cluster headaches. Pressure but no pain, rapid onset, lasts 1-2 hours, can switch between eyes.
