Wes Streeting has confessed that his government broke the law on Gaza.

He didn't mean to - but that's what he has done.

If we had a functioning media in this country, political journalists would ask Wes Streeting:

"Given you long ago concluded Israel is committing war crimes, does that not mean you must think your government is facilitating war crimes?"

They'd specifically note F-35 components.

This would be a bit more powerful if Starmer hadn't raided the rhetoric of Enoch Powell while introducing one of the harshest asylum systems in Europe?
Starmer:

"The real fight is not in the Labour Party. It's with the right-wing politics that challenges that. The politics of Reform... Divide, divide, divide. Grievance, grievance, grievance. That will tear our country apart... I will be in that fight as long as I have breath in my body."

Peter Thiel has been open about this for a long time. Trump is a way to break the republic, which can then be replaced by “free economic zones” with oligarchs as dictators and tech as a taskmaster for helpless humans without any rights. (1/2)
Definitely seems like they destroyed the country on purpose.

Westminster degrading and despoiling what's left of little Britain.
"Creating a poorer, more vulnerable migrant class of workers who have no long-term stake in our society worsens wages & conditions for everyone & increases resentment towards immigrants."
This. This. This.
@zoejardiniere.bsky.social is spot-on on why Government's hostile migration plans hurt us all.
Labour is creating a vulnerable migrant underclass

But more importantly, Manchester knows what it doesn't need, and that is Tory politics, no matter what colour rosette it's wearing.

I sometimes feel like people take policy decisions based on the Daily Mail in their head. The story since 2016 in the UK has really been, regardless of what real people actually think, to answer to the people who live in your imagination made up by right wing people who insist you respect them

It’s not a viable market product in a market where big tech platforms control distribution and tip the scales towards an endless supply of teenagers working free.

Every media company should be chasing the open social web to break that control wide open and reshape the market
High-quality journalism is not a viable market product. If you want consistent high-quality journalism, you need some kind of subsidy.

ANY billionaire could set up the WaPo as a high-quality journalism outlet, accept that it's not going to make money, & simply subsidize it. Nothing stopping them.

There's a thing called moral failure which defines those Britain sends to Westminster.
Spain has effectively made the argument that their economy NEEDS migration. They don’t have the hostile environment which every govt. has kept despite Windrush promises. This could be us if we weren’t cooked.
Why Spain is breaking the mold in Europe -
choosing regularisation instead of MAGA mass deportations!!

Two reasons: morality & pragmatism.

Also it is clear one factor in why hotels, camps and barracks are so attractive to the home office is because it lessens the chance that anyone will complain when their friend or neighbour is being deported. It is explicitly to prevent integration and the community that comes with it.
