"Let yourself rest" I don't have the time. And I don't want to. I'll crash, burn, and go nonverbal once Christmas is done.

Hyperthyroidism and kidney failure are two of the first things I had her tested for. All her labs came back perfect and in range. She's just not as active since hurting her back. Better safe than sorry though.

On the flip side of this, freshly made fries sandwiches between slices of bread. That or mashed potatoes/potato salad slathered on toast.

My dad wasn't really one for cologne, so I'm wondering if this just smells similar to an aftershave he liked.

Is it a little too much food? Yeah probably but I also don't wanna cook for a week after this. Plenty for people to take home with them too.

I feel like cooking for the family is one way my mom kept her mom close, y'know? Making the same Thanksgiving dishes after she passed. Now I do the same, while wearing the sweater she last cooked in. It's a small thing but it helps.

I'm also like her in the sense that I don't have to do as much as I do and can delegate tasks but I like having the kitchen to myself while I work. And even though it wears me out, I genuinely love to cook for people.
