We bought our house a couple years ago and took on replacing floors by ourselves. I spent the entire time I budgeted for the project simply removing staples from the mix of wood and carpet upstairs. will never take that on again lol

I was loving Claude Code... until I tried it with #rstats. Constant errors, wouldn't use the tidyverse even when asked, "optimized" functions were slower.

Frustrated, I started a session just to teach R to Claude and summarize what it learned into a CLAUDE.md file gist.github.com/sj-io/3828d6...

I adopted it fairly early, but yesterday I opened an old script of mine last night that had all %>% pipes. it brought up more emotions than I would have expected

There is a decent amount of general NFL people here, but the NFL analytics community seems to still be using a twitter a lot.

yeah I didn't think about that because it took some fumbling for me to get used to it, but once I got the coordinates down it was nice to be able to map labels

do you build a custom class that wraps arviz.InferenceData to extend it?

What are some features in Arviz you like? I've been using PyMC to learn, it's a good tradeoff of complexity/abstraction for me, but I struggle with the posterior a lot. I'm typically porting it back to R via reticulate/parquet - but hearing you say that furthers its worth getting comfortable with
