I have actual novels I should be working on but instead it's just been a bunch of game design lately.

I ask because several years ago I made my own sci fi RPG and enjoyed it and this summer we did a one-shot that made everyone say "Why did we ever stop this, this is great!" And then they asked for the mechanics to be adjusted to steampunk/Victorian occultism. Which has been a delight!

Hard agree on the Craig films, even though Casino Royale and Skyfall are both excellent films they do feel a touch removed from the others.

I also take your point with From Russia With Love, Goldfinger probably is the more quintessential Connery Bond though I think FRWL is better.

Plus there was the great video game that elevated GE for a lot of folk my age

Eh I'm sure a lot of people would look at From Russia With Love (also great!) or one of the Craig films.

I'm sure some level of this is just The Age I Was At but Goldeneye feels like the quintessential Bond film.

Yeah he just sits down, and there's a real sense of him thinking "Did I go too far this time?"

Its a shame his last two films weren't great because he did nail the role.
