this whole embroglio is epiphenomenal
ah nice, I was trying to think of fiction based ones and all I came up with was Vimes' Boots Theory. Chatting about this at work and someone else had one from Mort. Clearly Pratchett a big influence on our generation!

mine:

* Randomness explains more things than you might imagine (from NNT's "fooled by randomness")

• The decisions you make are probably less calculated / "rational" than you might imagine (from Daniel Khaneman's 'Thinking, Fast and Slow")

which are actually related ideas I guess...

Q: What's the difference between a stand in for an actors close up, and an unsound surge in investment into the leader of the Diddymen?

A: One's a body double, the other is a Doddy bubble

nice thread and great song. my only quibble, as someone who remembers getting enraged when I first saw a JO sandwich in a petrol station - "hasn't he got enough fucking money" - is that in this case the seething is both justified & righteous 😂

that sounds like a good use case! i do get kind of annoyed by the AI ads that are like "guy invited girl round for dinner, then asks AI what to make and so made spag bol" though. is that really a good selling point for AI? 😂

you could have done all those things without AI though right? My understanding could be off here so please correct me, but is it fair to say that for those use cases AI is basically summerising web content?

the moral purpose and storyline is surely scraping the two child limit and raising ~500k kids out of poverty?
