South London Press has printed its last issue. Very sad, but not surprising. In later years it only survived thanks to its excellent sports coverage (ironically, in the last week Charlton and the Dons have been promoted and Palace have won the cup!).

But many will remember it fondly, including me.

Anyway, I *did not know* that the reason BBC Radio 4 still broadcasts on long wave in 2025 is that it secretly carries the Economy 7 signal for cheap overnight power on old electricity meters.
