When Naito reported the confrontation, she was told, in essence, “get over it”.

People speaking on record for Paramount deny such a conversation took place, claiming they DID chastise Naito, but did so over films such as “The Smurfs” going over budget.

Though most are flattered the “Let it Be” publisher felt this parody ruined the original’s licensing value and demanded $5.5mil - which as a nonprofit would have bankrupted Sesame Street.

By coincidence Michael Jackson bought the publisher during the suit and dropped it for $50.

I realize that Sesame needs all the money it can get right now and, as they themselves explained, it’s a case where no other character fits the bill, but to me this is one of those cases where commercializing Sesame Street seems more iffier than usual. www.hollywoodreporter.com/business/dig...
Why Glad Turned to Oscar the Grouch to Revive It’s “Don’t Get Mad. Get Glad” Ad Campaign (Exclusive)
The 'Sesame Street' muppet stars in the new campaign, which brings back the tagline that was ubiquitous through the 80s, 90s and 2000s, and a new version of Oscar's 'I Love Trash' song.
