I will never quite understand the gatekeeping mindset on giving As to students. Denying As because you think only "few" should be able to earn them is asinine. You can be rigorous AND fair. It's not either/or...

These two things are not correlated, they are causally linked. Without the IRACDA training and mentorship I received, my professorship would have been impossible. Gutting NIH Training Grants deprives our society and culture of talent. Continue telling reps that you oppose cutting science funding.

Today years old when I learned The Rats of NIMH are actually The Rats of the National Institute of Mental Health. The stories were inspired by Calhoun's experiments. I am not sure what to think right now.

Every year, migrating birds crash into McCormick Place in Chicago—but thanks to new window decals, deaths are down from previous years. The birds collected for science reveal something shocking: they’ve been shrinking over time.

What a super cool paper! I love seeing this focus on development as a system of interconnected processes and mechanisms. @devoevomed.bsky.social
📣 New review! Dynamical systems and low-dimensional geometric structures in phase space help rationalize how embryos develop form and function, from large datasets. We focus on morphogenesis, cell differentiation, and their interconnection.

Leave your comments. Do not forget to note your stance on this. For instance, my final statement of my comment was, "I OPPOSE this rule change."
🚨 A new rule would let career scientists like NSF/NIH program officers be replaced by political appointees

Already 14,000+ public comments, deadline is Friday

📣 Comments can be short. Courts consider them—and scientists with NSF/NIH experience are especially impactful
