It's indeed not, but annoyingly the BF sales have been adopted here (and in many other countries) - I've been getting so many emails about various 'Black Friday' offers! 😒
But Xmas shopping is ramping up, so I think it's nice to have a focus on local businesses (who are not offering BF discounts!)

A tip rather than a miss, for the voucher/experience category - tour vouchers! More specifically I am thinking of Lady Gargoyle (aka @jessworth.bsky.social) who offers vouchers for bespoke private tours of Oxford. I've been on several of her tours now (private and public) and she is so excellent!

The country doesn’t have a credit card, and our public debt was certainly not ‘maxed out’
